Future Plans!


Hey everyone!

From its creation over one year ago for gmtk-2020, like most game jam games I expected the play rate to dwindle after the jam was over.
However as I went through my second year at university 20 Days has consistently 30-40 new plays per month.
Yesterday it finally surpassed over 1000 individual plays with well over 800 people playing after the jam. 

With this milestone hit I'm fully committed to creating a full release version!
This game will expand upon the basic concepts of this prototypes:

Tunnels: An actual map with objectives, countermining, cave-ins, reinforcing and underground conflict.
Tunnelers : More then just two stats; each soldier will have their own backstory, mental state, letters to love ones and more.
Events: Key events happen within the game. Some will allow your choice creating multiple potential outcomes to give you a greater feeling of control in your game, all coming along some flashy visuals I'm working on.

And as you have probably seen, I'll be moving to 3d!

This is only the beginning of a long and intense year and a half of development. I'm currently in a research period collecting as much information as possible to provide a realistic representation of a ww1 tunneling operation.

At some point over the next 2 months I'll look to start setting up socials and maybe a website where I can put all of the interesting stuff I've learnt in a format that's more engaging then just a massive google doc with too many links.

 Anyway, thanks you so much for playing my prototype, your time playing has meant I've had the evidence to be approved for a self-placement year from my university meaning I can use their tools and funding to make this game even better!
